INTERVIEWER INSTRUCTIONS:

To ensure maximum flow of information, take time to help your candidate feel relaxed. Remember the following:

DO NOT share too much job information upfront.
DO ask your candidate to hold their questions to the end of the interview.
DO set expectations by letting the candidate know that you will be reading the interview questions and taking notes.
DO let the candidate know you will be using the same questions with everyone to ensure all are treated equally.

When you’re ready to begin the interview process, start with education and work history. Review the past three employers or the last 10 years. Skill assessment questions that are consistent and properly phrased will gather both skill and locus of control (attitude) information. Ask Career Fit questions next. Score as you go. When finished, determine predominant responses and whether the candidate meets the minimum hiring standard. If yes, find out if the candidate is interviewing elsewhere and how far along s/he is in the interview process. Speed up the hiring process if necessary. The goal is to correctly identify and hire High Performers.
